Various factors are relevant when translating paintings into fabric technology.
The image template must be reduced in terms of its color values without limiting the fine color gradients and details.

Eight different weft yarns are used to realistically reproduce this painting. Only half of the weave structures from the previously developed weave catalog are actually used in the large-format picture fabric. The careful assignment of the different effects, in terms of their color depth, enables the painting to be illustrated in this jacquard weaving.
