TextileDesign-Collage
Searching for traces of textile design... What makes the course special? Students of ‘Textile Design’ at the University of Applied Sciences Hof have dealt with this question during their 3rd semester under my guidance within
the module "Digital Textile Systems".
Textile techniques such as knitting, confection, weaving, tufting and screen printing are explored, studied and applied at the campus in Münchberg/Bavaria.
Starting with their own design and through the technical elaboration to the finished product, textile design students can turn their ideas into reality. Produced in the university's own weaving mill, the large-format jacquard fabric reflects the holistic nature of the course. The collage reflects the enthusiasm for creating textile products and creative work during their studies at the Münchberg campus.
The fabric was presented as part of the ‘Night of Science’ at Hof University of Applied Sciences in June 2023.
