In this research work, I deal with the topic of transferring the principle of CMYK four-color printing to the technique of Jacquard weaving. The combination of 5 weft yarns with complex binding technique enables forty high contrast color effects in the fabric structure. The CMYK values of the actual color effects of the fabric were determined with the help of the CUBE _portable color digitizer_ from the company "Palette". Afterwards they were translated back into the language of the CMYK+White color palette.

 

This is the only way to ensure that the design colors in the Computer Aided Design jacquard software correspond to the actual color impressions of the future fabric.

The technique is transferable to any type of fabric that can be displayed with 40 color effects.
